Design Interaction Meld USA is proud to announce our new Chicago Architectural Sales Representative, Sandy Smith-Tankin of Design Interaction. We are very excited to have Sandy Smith-Tankin of Design Interaction representing Meld on a commercial platform in such a diverse and ever-evolving region of the United States. The Chicago market is a unique and dynamic market and to have such an experienced and connected partner like Sandy there we truly feel blessed" says Michael Bustin, CEO of Meld USA. Sandy launched Design Interaction in 2007 to help get specialty design products in the hands and minds of specifiers. She will help Meld USA do just this and will bring our portfolio of sustainable products to architects and designers in the Chicago market. Sandy has a breadth of experience in interior design. She received a B.A. in Interior Design from Purdue University and went on to study interior lighting through a summer session at Harvard University Graduate School of Design. Sandy practiced Interior Design for many years. She designed several permanent office furniture showrooms for Kimball International and other major office furniture manufacturers. She then moved into a sales role and worked for various office furniture and decorative surfacing manufacturers such as Pionite Decorative Surfaces and Wilsonart International. She has held the titles of Architectural Consultant, National Account Manager and Specification Sales Manager. She held a seat on the board of the Institute of Store Planners for several years. Sandy is active with many industry organizations such as IIDA & CSI. She is NCIDQ qualified, a LEED AP, and a national member of the USGBC.
