Raleigh , NC , January, 2006 – Meld USA , creators of the award-winning extremeconcrete® material, today announced that it has tripled its space (to 17,000 SF) with its move to 3001 Spring Forest Road , Building 103 in Raleigh . The move will accommodate growth, new hires and a new business unit. This past year was a banner year for Meld. The company delivered custom kitchen and bath surfaces and sinks for the residence of the mayor of New York, received a Best Product of the Year designation from Architectural Record Magazine, and inked a deal to provide concrete upgrades for the Hudson Building in Raleigh, NC. Meld was also integral to the design of Blo, a unique styling salon in Raleigh 's Brier Creek Shopping Center. Michael Bustin, Vice President & Lead Materials Designer at Meld, notes that the move will support Meld's forthcoming launch of its furniture and accessories business. “Consumer demand for concrete is breaking out of the modern and urban segment where it was first adopted. This year, we've seen interest beyond the athletes, celebrities and architecture buffs who've been a mainstay for us.” “We've begun collaborating with award-winning architects and designers on a variety of furniture and furnishing products that we'll roll out next year,” he added. |
